Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Combination DOC Collection - La Valentina
Binomio is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC, the name, which literally means two names, takes it from its birth: in the spring of 1997 Stefano Inama (Inama Azienda Agricola) and Sabatino Di Properzio (Fattoria La Valentina) met to produce together a great Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, sumptuous but modern. The vision was therefore that of a powerful wine but with ripe tannins, which could be opened and drunk immediately. Fattoria La Valentina and Azienda Agricola Inama created the wine in the '98 and '99 vintages, perfecting it from time to time. In 2000, with the acquisition of the vineyard in San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore, the project took off; the old 4.2 hectare vineyard, planted in the seventies, on the edge of the Majella National Park seemed perfect for making an ambitious wine as well as a point of reference in the region.

Tasting Notes: Dark ruby with interesting garnet reflections; the nose is very intense, the wild strawberries stand out, with blackberry and wild red fruits, black spices and complex scents creep in little by little. On the palate it is full-bodied, decisive, intense, with mature and important tannins but with great balance. The finish is fresh and with excellent aromatic persistence.
Pairings: It is ideal to accompany roasts, stews, game, Callara sheep and mature cheeses.
