Cremant de Loire Quadrille Extra Brut AOC Millesime 2016 - Langlois Chateau
The Quadrille Cremant de Loire Cuvée de Prestige Extra Brut sparkling wine expresses in every bubble of its very fine perlage all the elegance of the area in which it is born, the French region of Anjou-Samour, located on the edge of the suggestive Loire Valley. It was created by the heirs of the Langlois Chateau domain, winemakers for generations and masters in the care and enhancement of the vine. Sons of a temperate oceanic climate and a terroir rich in chalk and limestone, the vines that make up the Quadrille Cremant de Loire Cuvée de Prestige Extra Brut sparkling wine come from excellent vineyards, worthy of the Cremant de Loire denomination. Selected and manually harvested berries of Chenin, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir come together in the bottle and, just like the 4 figures of the Quadrille dance that the name of the sparkling wine recalls, give a harmonious and refined result. To be enjoyed immediately, served cold or left to age for up to 10 years, the sparkling wine matures for at least 48 months in the stone cellar of the Castle.

The Cellar: Founded at the beginning of the last century by Édouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne Chateau. The Langlois-Chateau maison is located in St-Hilaire-St-Florent, in the Loire valley. Today the company is still owned by the descendants of the Langlois family, who joined the company in 1973 with the Bollinger family. Continuously seeking qualitative improvements, the maison is particularly active in viticultural research, and favors natural cultivation methods aimed at maximum respect for the environment, nature, ecosystem and biodiversity. Between the rows, grassing of the under-rows and mechanical processing are carried out, the harvest is carried out strictly by hand, and through the green harvest the yields per hectare are kept low to favor quality over quantity. Systemic treatments and chemical products are rarely used, and indeed the aim is to keep each individual plant as balanced as possible, so as to be able to harvest concentrated bunches rich in all their organoleptic peculiarities. Even in the cellar, the Langlois-Chateau company has always and regularly invested in high quality materials, which allow it to better respect the nature of the grapes and enhance their varietal character. Although not among the largest maisons in terms of size, Langlois-Chateau is well present on the international market and increasingly oriented towards exports, which currently represent around a third of production. With wines that fall under the denominations of Samur and Sancerre, and also vinifying, precisely, one of the best Crémant de Loire, this is how the Domaine Langlois-Chateau manages to give us, from season to season, labels with an irresistible charm, who speak the language of the best wine excellence of the Loire Valley, telling in the glass the truest essence of a territory which, if we talk about wine, is second to no other.
