Gin Japanese Yuzu - Ukiyo

Gin Japanese Yuzu - Ukiyo

The term ukiyo refers to a state of mind that emphasizes living in the moment, detached from the difficulties of life. Yuzu is a citrus fruit grown in Japan that visually resembles a lemon. It has a strong fragrance, unique herbal notes, a light bitterness and a less pungent acidic taste. Born in Kagoshima in the shadow of the Sakurajima volcano, this gin is made with the traditional Japanese shochu spirit. When high-quality shochu is redistilled, the result is a smooth gin with a wonderfully soft mouthfeel.Botanicals: juniper, yuzu, regional citrus.

The Distillery: The Japanese Yuzu Gin from the production company Ukiyo Spirits is configured as a distillate with an irresistible fresh and citrus taste produced in Kagoshima, on the southern tip of the largest Japanese island, in the shadow of the active volcano Sakurajima. The fundamental ingredient of this gin is yuzu, a typical Japanese citrus fruit with a lemon-like appearance which is characterized by its strong aroma and lower acidity. This gin wants to pay homage to the ancient tradition of yuzu cultivation in Japan, which dates back at least 1,500 years. The word "ukiyo", the name of the distillery, means "floating world" and indicates an attitude towards life free from thoughts and difficulties, focused solely on enjoying the moment, just as Ukiyo distillates help you do.
